Although dogs are not allowed on of the beach areas, there is a section just for them. Your pup will need to remain leashed, even in the water. If your pup loves to exercise and stretch his or her legs, you can visit Waterford Oaks Park. This place has over 185 acres, with plenty of green grass and trees for your furry friend to sniff. To enjoy a rest and some treats, there is a picnic area you can use. The Oakland County Farmers Market is also open three day a week. While dogs are not allowed into the water park, the Waterford Oaks Trail is four miles long and great fun for them to explore.
