Manhasset is a small hamlet town on Long Island, only 20 miles from Manhattan. Sitting on the northern corner of the city, the area provides a large space with shaded trails, an open space and small pond with plenty of geese. The park is dog-friendly to leashed pups, and its pretty pupular among dog-lovers in the area thanks to additional amenities like benches, picnic areas, water fountains, a clean-up station, and trash bins.
The Mary Jane Davies Green is the perfect place for dog walkers who don't want to travel too far, thanks to its central location in the city. The area is surrounded by trees, providing plenty of privacy and shade along the paved walking trails that surround the park and weave through it. Great Neck Village is a small town 3 miles from Manhasset along the eastern shore of Little Neck Bay. The area has beautiful views of the water and plenty of open green space that are dog-friendly, like Village Green Park. The park lives up to its name, providing residents, visitors, and pups with plenty of green fields and open space to run around and play. The area has a perimeter walkway made of concrete, with parts that wind through the park, a gazebo, scenic water fountain, trash bins, benches, and clean-up stations. Hungry? Then walk on over with Fido to Shiraz, a Persian and Middle Eastern eatery with dog-friendly seating outside.
