Orofino, Idaho is a town in the central-western part of Idaho, lying within the Nez Perce Indian Reservation. Of historical significance is the fact that Lewis and Clark embarked on a journey from Orofino after building canoes for their voyage in 1805. Happy to welcome human and pup-tastic visitors alike, today's Orofino offers lots of adventure for all. While here, the Clearwater Valley Veterinary Hospital and Orofino Animal Hospital are standing by to keep your pup in tip-top health.

Within the town lies City Park, which is full of open space to wander, playgrounds for the kiddies, and is a great place to BBQ some burgers for you and your pup to enjoy. There are also numerous trails in the town for great hikes. Try the Canyon Creek Trail for a short 1 ¼ mile walk, the Eureka Loop with three scenic miles of fun, or hike the Big Eddy Trail for a whopping 10-mile journey. If you and Fido like to backpack for longer distances, jump on the Nez Perce National Historic Trail which runs through Orofino and covers a total of 1,170-miles! All are dog-friendly.
