When people think of deserts, they usually don’t imagine beautiful red sands, turquoise lakes, vibrant green cacti, and purple mountains. However, that is what Peoria, Arizona looks like! With such a unique landscape, there is no way you and your pet can resist exploring this city.

For a day out in Peoria, take your pet to the Pioneer Park Dog Park. The dog park is within Pioneer Park, and it has three separated sections for your dog to romp around in. Because it is so hot and sunny in Arizona, there are plenty of shaded pavilions to stay cool under.

If you are searching for a place for Fido that's a bit more unique and interesting, try the Doggie Street Festival. Only a short drive away in Phoenix, the Doggie Street Festival is a lovely event all pet lovers will enjoy. There are pet merchandise vendors, speakers, music, yummy food, and games for the whole family, Fido included. This festival is an annual event, so you can always return if you enjoy it!

After a day of excitement, tuck into La Quinta Inn and Suites. Their clean, inviting hotel is a great choice to stop in for the night. They allow cats or dogs, and you can keep two pets with you. A great choice so you don’t have to worry about boarding your pet.

When you get the munchies, Peoria offers a multitude of pet-friendly restaurants. For breakfast or a sweet treat, try the Paradise Bakery. They have all sorts of baked goods and sandwiches with, of course, coffee.

If you are in the mood and seeking out more of a lunch or dinner selection, Salty Señoritas offers tasty Mexican cuisine and the Barrel Grill, and Modern Saloon serves American dishes and crafted beer. All of these choices allow your best-behaved pet to sit with you on their patio.
