Christ Church

Spending the day at walking around the historic area of Rosegill is great when Fido needs his exercise and a swim. The area is near Christchurch School and the historic Episcopal Christ Church parish. The open area includes 125 acres surrounding the school campus and the lake allows your pooch to run and play without worrying about cars or traffic. You can take your fishing pole and while Fido sniffs and searches for wildlife and you can catch dinner for the family. You will need to bring your own doggie waste bags and clean up after your pup and bring a cooler with your water bottles if you need a cool drink. Just up the road you will find Debbie’s Restaurant where you can get lunch or dinner at the outdoor tables during the summer.

Cooks Corner

Situated conveniently in the Cooks Corner neighborhood, Pet Friends for Life Dog park is a great destination for pups of all sizes and ages. Gated entry into two separate parks offers your pooch a chance to run and play with other dogs or by himself if he doesn’t feel like socializing. Water is available to fill up bowls and a doggie pool is filled with water during the hot summer days. The park is closed to visitors between 10 am and 2 pm to allow the local rescue pups to get their daily exercise. Cedar Pointe

Walking through the Cedar Pointe neighborhood in Urbanna, about 5 miles from Saluda, will take you to the popular Bethpage Camp Resort.
