This Aloha neighborhood is home to another pawsitively amazing off-leash area, Hazeldale Dog Park. Located eight miles from West Haven-Sylvan, this dog park has three separate areas: one for big dogs, one for small dogs, and one that’s open to dogs of all sizes. All three areas are fully fenced, and they feature large, grass-filled fields with plenty of space for dogs to play. If all the excitement makes your dog thirsty, water is available in the dog park. Bring a tennis ball or a Frisbee, and have a great time playing in this puptastic off-leash park.
If you want to spend the day hiking with your dog, head to Tryon Creek State Park. This 670-acre park welcomes dogs on-leash, and it has over eight miles of hiking trails to explore with your pup. If you’re looking for a short walk, hop onto the .54-mile Maple Ridge Trail, which takes you on a loop around the park’s nature center. Or, if you want to go for a longer trek, try the .83-mile Lewis and Clark Trail. This trail goes through a stunning forest and along Tryon Creek.
