This city is surrounded by the Pike National Forest. This forest is what helped to give Woodland Park its name. It is located about 17 miles from Colorado Springs and is widely known for its festivals. Most of these festivals are music festivals.

There is a great dog-friendly restaurant that you and your pooch can dine at while you are in this city. The Carmen has a delicious food menu for you to choose from, and they have tables that are set up outside for owners when they bring their canine friends with them to dine.

Another fun activity that this city offers for you and your furry friend is hiking to the Red Rocks of Woodland Park. This is an easy one-mile loop trail that you and your pooch can explore together. There are beautiful views along this tree-covered trail, and the paths are well marked. As you and Fido walk along the trail, you'll find caverns to explore as well as a section of red rocks that resemble a huge room which is big enough for 30 people to stand in. This trail also has a breathtaking view of Colorado and is a must-see with your canine pal!

There are plenty of benches to sit on and watch your canine pal use the fallen trees as obstacles or a makeshift agility course.
