Lakeport is a small community in San Diego County that is surrounded by the Lindo Lake. Fido will love exploring the different parks that fill Lakeport, and sitting down with you at one of the delicious pet friendly restaurants that are in town. There are six veterinarians in town, insuring that your dog is healthy while you are out and about.

The Library Park is a great spot to explore with your pup. The park sits on Clear Lake and offers fishing, benches, picnic tables, grass, and plenty of trees for shade. There is a great walking path throughout that will take you along the lake that offers a great view while you walk. 


Grab a bite to eat with your pup at Sanducci's Cottage. They have an array of options on their menu, including great choices for breakfast and lunch. Their outdoor patio welcomes your four legged friend to sit down alongside you.

The Highland Springs Park is a beautiful area that offers some great amenities for you and your pup. The park is filled with benches, trees for shade, grass for fetch, and water fountains. There is a nice paved walking path that you and your pup can use for a good walk around the park. If Fido gets hungry, stop into Our Happy Tails Etc Dog Bakery. The Lakeport City Park is a lovely park to get a good walk in with your pup. This area has great amenities, like grass for fetch, trees for shade, picnic tables, and a great walking path around the park that Fido can get some exercise on with you. There is also a baseball diamond and the park is fenced in to help keep your pup safe. The park sits on Forbes Creek, which is perfect if your dog gets a little hot and wants to cool off before continuing your walk. Make sure to bring water and clean-up bags with you when visiting this pawsome park.

The Westside Community Park is a beautiful place that you and your pup can explore together. The park offers a playground, water fountains, grass for fetch, restrooms, and a picnic area with a BBQ grill. There is a baseball field and a great walking path around and throughout the park if your pup is in need of a walk while you are visiting. The park breaks off onto two sides of the road, so make sure you check which side you want to go to before parking. Known to hold a lot of local events, there are times when the par can be busy, so make sure Fido is ready to be social when you arrive.

The Lakeside County Park sits along Clear Lake, and a great park to check out if you and Fido want to get out of town. Located in Kelseyville and only two miles out of Lakeport, your dog will have a great time exploring this new park with you. The park is open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., and offers an array of sports fields, grass for fetch, pet waste bags, and restrooms. Take a walk on the paved walking trail that goes throughout the park before you and your pup head home for the day, just make sure to bring water with you.
