Stewarts Point

Take your pup out to Shell Beach for an amazing day out on the water. The beach offers fishing, plus hiking and walking trails. Depending on which trail you choose, you can hike between 0.12-miles to 3-miles. The beach offers sandy coves, tide pools, and amazing rock formations that you and Fido can enjoy together, plus great wildlife viewing. If your dog is not a fan of the water, take a walk on the Shell Beach Access Trail. This 2.9-mile trail offers amazing views of the ocean with a 738-foot elevation gain on a loop style route. Your pup is welcome to join you on the trail if he stays on a leash. Only six miles out of Sea Ranch in Stewarts Point, Fido won't mind the small car ride for an amazing beach trip.

Gualala

Head out to the Gualala Point Regional Park for an amazing day out with your dog. This beautiful park offers scenic meadows, coastal forested and a gorgeous beach you and Fido can explore together. The 195-acre park is filled with hiking and walking trails that you can use together for a great walk together. The trails that are sprawled throughout that park range in distance from one to five miles, and can range from easy to moderate difficulty. Your leashed dog is allowed to join you anywhere on the beach, including the campgrounds. The Gualala River Redwood Park is another great park that sits right along the river. You and your pup can enjoy the trails that go throughout the park an be shaded by the beautiful red wood trees. If you prefer to relax, hang out on the shore by the river or grab a tube and float around the river with your pup. These pawsome parks is located in Gualala, and only four miles out of Sea Ranch.

The Sea Ranch

If your dog is craving some off leash time then look no further then the Sea Ranch Dog Park. This dogtastic park in Sea Ranch gives you the opportunity to let your pup run around off-leash and meet some new friends. This spacious park offers water and plenty of trees for shade, plus other dog owners leave balls and toys behind for the dogs to enjoy. The park is covered in wood chips to help keep your dog clean and free of mud. If your dog isn't a fan of the dog park, right outside there is a nice hiking trail that the two of you can get a good walk in. If Fido isn't a fan of the dog park, head over to Hot Spot for a great day out. This small park sits along the South Fork Gualala River, and although it isn't filled with a ton of amenities, your pup will still love it. Take a hike through the forest and enjoy the beautiful redwoods as you do so.

The Salt Point State Park is a lovely coastline area that features amazing panoramic views and secluded coves that you and Fido can explore. This beachy park offers camping, hiking, and picnicking. There is water available at the park for you and Fido, as well as restrooms for owners. The park is open from sunrise until sunset daily, giving the two of you more then enough time to go and explore the park together and get a good walk in. Located in Jenner, and only fourteen miles down the coast from Sea Ranch, your dog will love checking this park out with you.

Point Arena

On the edge of Gualala is the Black Point Coastal Access Trail. This beautiful beach and trail welcome your leashed dog to join you for a great day out. The beach offers lovely sandy coves, tide pools, and rock formations, plus you can fish and boat at this dogtastic beach. After enjoying the beach, take a hike on the beach trail which is 0.25-miles long one way. You will pass through a Monterey cypress grove as you hike before reaching a staircase and the end of the beach which is popular among surfers. Make sure to bring water along with you when enjoying this beach together.
