Stewarts Point
Check out the beach with your furry pal at Shell Beach. The beach has great amenities like bird watching, fishing, and hiking and walking trails. Your pup is allowed to join you on the beach as long as he remains on a leash while the two of you are visiting. You and Fido can get a great walk in on the numerous trails that run around the beach, ranging in distance from 0.25-miles to 3-miles. Your pup will love getting his paws sandy and chasing the waves at this beach in Stewarts Point, only two miles out of Gualala.36

The Sea Ranch
If Fido is itching to have some off leash time then check out the Sea Ranch Dog Park in the nearby town of Sea Ranch. The dog park is fenced in and offers numerous benches for owners to sit on and relax. The park is filled with wood chips instead of grass, and has a few big trees for shade. The park does not offer water or clean-up bags,so make sure to bring your own. If Fido isn't in the mood to socialize, there is a great walking trail that surrounds the park that the two of you can use to get a good walk in together. Take Fido out on the numerous trails that go throughout Sea Ranch. Try the Bluff Top Trail which is 3-miles long one way for a good workout, or the Black Point Trail which is 0.25-miles perfect for a small walk before work. If Fido is itching to get his paws wet then stop at Stengel Beach. The beach offers hiking trails, fishng, and boating while you are there.24

Cazadero
If Fido gets a bit hungry while the two of you are wandering around Gualala, then stop into Trinks Cafe for a tasty bite to eat. This family-owned cafe offers a daily breakfast and lunch menu, plus you get a beautiful view of the sea while you dine. Their menu includes delicious eats like soups, sandwiches, and pancakes that your pup will be drooling over. Their oceanfront patio is the perfect spot to pull up a chair and enjoy a delicious meal with your best buddy by your side. Sometimes if you're lucky they are even open for dinner as well.12

Point Arena
Take your pup out to the Gualala Point Regional Park for a fun day out. The park has amazing amenities like camping, fishing, paddling, and a picnic area, plus it is right off of the beach. Your dog will love exploring all the walking and hiking trails that go throughout the park, plus its a great way to squeeze a walk in. The park sits right where the Gualala River meets the Pacific Ocean and you both can enjoy a 2.9-mile hike along the river while visiting. Make sure to keep your furry pal on leash when visiting the park.
