Head out to the Russian Gulch State Park for an amazing afternoon out with your furry pal. This park offers tons of amenities for you and Fido, including 15-miles of trails, beaches you can explore, camp sites, and fishing. Check out the Headlands Trail that offers an amazing view of the Pacific Ocean, plus you can explore the parks legendary sink hole called the Devil's Punchbowl. There are picnic tables along the trail if you and Fido want to take a rest for a moment. This trail is known to be one of the easier ones at the park, but make sure you bring water with you.

Caspar South

Point Cabrillo is a gorgeous 250-acre park that Fido will love visiting with you. Sitting on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, Point Cabrillo offers a historic lighthouse and a museum that you can explore. There are bluffs and prairies that Fido can run through, and numerous hiking trails that you both can explore together. Make sure to keep your dog on leash when you are visiting the lighthouse, and bring water and clean-up bags with you. Sometimes Point Cabrillo can be a bit busy since it hosts field trips and other events, so make sure Fido is social if you plan on going.

The Caspar Headland State Natural Reserve is a fantastic place to hang out with your furry pal for an amazing day. The reserve sits along the coast, giving you an amazing scenic view while you enjoy its amenities. The reserves offers fishing, snorkeling, wildlife viewing, geocaching, hiking, and boating. Check out one of the numerous trails that the reserve has and get a good walk in with your furry pal while you are there. Make sure to keep your dog on a leash while visiting, and don't forget your water and clean-up bags since the reserve doesn't offer any.

If you and your pup get hungry while hanging out in Mendocino, head to the Gurley Lane neighborhood where there are endless options to eat. Mendo Burgers offers a classic menu with tasty American fare. The Mendocino Cafe has international cuisine that your pup will be drooling over. GoodLife Cafe and Bakery is a casual joint that dishes out delicious food from locally sourced ingredients. Their menu includes breakfast and lunch options. Cultured Affair Cafe has a simple menu with a beautiful coastal view from their patio. All of these great restaurants offer dog friendly patios that Fido is welcome on.

Take Fido out to the Mendocino Headlands State Park-Big River for a pawsome day out. The park sits along the Big River, perfect for any water loving dog who wants to splash around, and has fun amenities like boating, hiking, fishing, a beach area, restrooms, and drinking fountains. Take your pup out onto one of the amazing trails and get a good walk in while you are visiting the park together. The park is popular with visitors and horseback riders, so make sure you and your pup are well prepared before going out to explore. Don't forget your clean-up bags.
