Playa del Rey is a beachfront community in the greater Los Angeles area. Although small in size, it is full of all the SoCal favorites -- sun, sand, and surf. Located only 20 miles outside of Downtown Los Angeles, this town is close to world class restaurants, shopping, and entertainment.

Besides all the sun and fun, Playa del Rey also has some pet friendly restaurants. Book a dinner date with your four legged BFF and head out on the town. Playa Provisions is a unique cluster of stores and eateries. Small Batch serves ice cream, Grain sells spirits, and Dockside has fresh seafood on the menu. All offer outdoor tables, so once you get your food, you can sit right next to your pup.

For a little pick-me-up, stop by Tanners Coffee. Besides having a delicious assortment of coffees, teas, and other drinks, they also serve mouthwatering wraps and sandwiches. This dog friendly establishment is also only two blocks from the ocean. Del Rey Deli Co. has two outdoor tables that accommodate furry patrons. Munch on a Caprese Sandwich while your pooch enjoys the salty ocean air.

After you grab a bite to eat, head over to the Ballona Freshwater Marsh. Take your pup for a couple laps around the trail. He’s sure to have a tail waggin’ time!
