“Dog lover and friend to all animals!”

Hi, my name is Sam Fiorini! My love for dogs is what sparked me to enter the wonderful world of Wag! Dog Walking. I've done dog walking and dog sitting for my friends for my entire life and I've done volunteer work for a couple of animal shelters. I understand the importance of trusting someone to care for your fur babies. I grew up in a household with just as many babies as there were fur babies. I currently have 2 dogs of my own.

Over the course of a lifetime I have owned myriad dogs - Heinz 57 and purebred. In fact, I can't remember a time when the household was without one or more dogs.I have trained dogs for basic obedience. I have handled dogs in regional and international bench dog shows. But, for the most part, my dogs have just been great friends, companions, and loved family members.Getting out and about with a dog is one of the joys of life... and is good for both the dog and the walker.

“A dog's best friend.”

I'm from the SF Bay Area, now living in Palm Springs. My family always had a dog or two, which I helped raise from puppies. I learned dog walking, sitting & basic training through a job I had in college, from 2008-2013. In 2018, I adopted a Pom/Chi/Mix. We took a Sirius Puppy Training class & gained additional skills for positive reinforcement training & canine enrichment. I've taken online courses through Dunbar Academy to learn more on basic & obedience training, for puppies & adult dogs.

Dog Walking in Rancho Mirage

Rancho Mirage is a city in California with a population of more than 17,000 people, but because it's a popular resort city, its part-time population exceeds 20,000. There are 13 golf courses in Rancho Mirage, as well as a warm climate year-round, so it isn't hard to see why so many people choose to live and play here! Rancho Mirage is also a nice place to live if you're a pet owner because the sunshine and green spaces in the city make for attractive dog walking opportunities. While there are lots of places to go for an on-leash walk in Rancho Mirage, the city even has its own dog park, and there are paw-lenty more just minutes away!

The Rancho Mirage Dog Park is in the northeastern corner of the city, and this spacious 4.5-acre park is open from 6 AM to 9 PM every day. This off-leash park includes separate areas for big and small dogs, as well as lighted parking spaces, a lit walking path, and a double-lock entry system. You'll also find water stations and waste disposal supplies in the park in case you forget your own. This is just one of many great dog parks in the area, and visiting each one with your pet is going to be a pawesome time!

The off-leash area is at the base of the trails, and it is only surrounded by some low wooden bars, so if your dog is a high jumper or an expert escape artist, it may be best to keep them on a leash. Dogs are required to be leashed on the walking trail, and some visitors note it is quite a rigorous hike.
