From this view, you can see the wildflowers in bloom all year long. You can check in at the visitor center and pick up some water, but it is highly recommended you bring your own. Please remember that you will need to keep your pup on a leash, and that there are a few trails where pups aren't allowed. While you enjoy the historic significance of the area, Fido is sure to love all the new sights and smells!

Riverside
Palomar Mountain has Barker Valley Trail waiting on you to come and explore just thirty miles from Anza. Here, you'll find a 7.5-mile trail that will lead you and your pup through the Cleveland National Forest. You will need to keep your dog on his leash while you are on this hike, but with so much to see, he won't mind. There are a few springs dotted throughout the area. However, they are sparse, so you should make sure to bring enough water for you and your pup. There is lots of wildlife to see, but please don't feed the wild animals or let Fido harass them.
