Chatfield State Park in Littleton, Colorado is a peaceful and rustic park that embodies everything people love about Colorado. It's only a 36-minute drive from Kittredge, and it has a 69-acre off-leash dog park that you and Rover are sure to fall in love with! The off-leash park has a variety of terrain so your dog will never get bored while exploring all the new sights and smells here. It's fully fenced-in and has miles of trails to walk as well as two delightful ponds. This park requires either a $2 daily pass or a $20 annual pass, and the small fee goes toward maintaining the area.

Lakewood, Colorado is just a hop, skip, and a jump from Kittredge, and the 20-minute drive can end with you and Rover visiting the Forsberg-Iron Spring Dog Park. This park will quickly become one of your new favorite parks! It's a large park with big and small dog sections and plenty of hills and a variety of terrain for your pooch to explore. The dog park portion of the park is off-leash, but there are also a lot of other park features your dog can explore with you on a leash, including a picnic shelter and walking and biking paths.

It's only a 12-minute drive from Kittredge, and the Elk Meadow Open Space Bark Park is dog park paradise! Located in Evergreen, Colorado, Elk Meadow Park is a 1,475-acre space that's pawfect for exploring with your dog. There are more than 14 miles to trek within the park, including a 4.7-mile hike with a 2,100 foot elevation gain. Within Elk Meadow is a 107-acre bark park that is totally fenced in and has more than three miles of trails where your dog can explore off-leash. Throughout the rest of the park, your dog must be on a leash, but leash or no leash, they'll have a blast at Elk Meadow Park!

Central Littleton

Central Littleton

Half an hour's drive from Kittredge, in the center of Littleton, is the Wynetka Ponds Bark Park. This spacious dog park has two sections that are rotated to allow the grass to regrow. The Bark Park has water fountains on both sides, a gazebo, seating, shade, and clean-up supplies for any doggy messes. True to its name, Wynetka Ponds also has a few ponds throughout the park where hot dogs can take a dip. There are also several trails surrounding the park that you can explore with your dog on a leash if you'd both like more exercise than a dog park can offer.
West Arvada

West Arvada

Twenty-five miles northeast of Kittredge is the West Arvada Dog Park in Arvada, Colorado. This park is very special to the city, and it is run and maintained by volunteers. Within the 10-acre park, there are four separately fenced-off sections: two for small and shy dogs, and two general use areas. The park has several water buckets throughout that volunteers keep full, so no dog goes thirsty. There are also bags and garbage cans scattered throughout the park. Throughout the year, there are several fundraising events at the West Arvada Dog Park to raise money for the maintenance of the park.
