This community is an amazing place if you are looking for a neighborhood in Lakewood with some puptastic parks to sniff around. Applewood Park is a great multi-use park with everything from ball fields to horseshoe pits, along with a half-mile walking trail. Down the road is Graham Park, which has a bike path, tennis courts, and walking trails where dogs are welcome to join you on leash. Sloan Lake is both a neighborhood and a park in Denver located about ten minutes away from Edgewater. The area was formed somewhat by accident in the 1860s, when a local farmer named Thomas Sloan accidentally hit an aquifer and flooded his entire farm. Over time, the aquifer formed what would become Denver's largerst lake, at 177 acres. If you are looking for a great place to take Sparky for a walk after work, there is a 2.8 mile path that winds through the park. There is a smaller park called Hallack Park just a few minutes away if your dog prefers a little extra personal space.
