Applewood
Applewood is about ten minutes away from Edgewater. This community is an amazing place if you are looking for a neighborhood in Lakewood with some puptastic parks to sniff around. Applewood Park is a great multi-use park with everything from ball fields to horseshoe pits, along with a half-mile walking trail. Down the road is Graham Park, which has a bike path, tennis courts, and walking trails where dogs are welcome to join you on leash. You will need plenty of waste bags for your adventures in these parks. A bag full of treats and tennis balls is always a great idea, too!

River North Art District
The River North Art District is a beautiful and vibrant little town about twenty minutes from Edgewater. It is a great place to walk your pup if you want to get a look at tons of local murals and street art. While you are out and about, the Globeville Landing Park is well worth a stop. It has a decent sized open green space, walking paths, views of the river, and even a disc golf course. Your dog will need to stay on a leash, and be sure to bring plenty of waste bags to help keep this local gem clean and tidy.24

Jefferson Park
Jefferson Park is about fifteen minutes away from Edgewater in the city of Denver. There are three parks in this area worth sniffing out. There is a park by the same name in the center of the neighborhood with plenty of room to roam around with your pup on a beautiful weekend. You can also check out Crescent Park just down the road if you are looking for a lovely place to throw around a tennis ball, or have a picnic with your whole family. Sloan Lake
Sloan Lake is both a neighborhood and a park in Denver located about ten minutes away from Edgewater. The area was formed somewhat by accident in the 1860s, when a local farmer named Thomas Sloan accidentally hit an aquifer and flooded his entire farm. Over time, the aquifer formed what would become Denver's largerst lake, at 177 acres. If you are looking for a great place to take Sparky for a walk after work, there is a 2.8 mile path that winds through the park. There is a smaller park called Hallack Park just a few minutes away if your dog prefers a little extra personal space.
Edgewater
You can start your day with your dog in Edgewater by grabbing your leash and heading over to Citizen's Park. This park has five acres of multi-use facilities, including a ballfield, picnic areas, pavilions, a playground, and even a horseshoe pit! If you get hungry after all that running and playing, you can stop by Rupert's at the Edge. This is a pupperific place to grab a bite on their outdoor patio where you will have an amazing view of downtown Denver! The staff is known to bring treats for well-behaved pups, and they always make sure you both have fresh water.
