Glendale is a small suburban town just 5 miles southeast of Denver's downtown area. The city is packed with residential homes, businesses, and skyscrapers, and was only incorporated into its own in 1952. Despite the cramped area, there are still lots of parks and public spaces to go out for a walk, all of them being dog-friendly and with great amenities for Fido.
Glendale residents will love heading to Creekside Park, thanks to its lush fields, open area, and access to Cherry Creek. There are spots open for fishing, a paved walkway that encircles the park, a playground, two pavilions, shaded sitting areas, and restrooms. Pups can run around and play, or take a stroll on the walkways, with access to water fountains, benches, clean-up stations, and trash bins.
Playa del Carmen Park is on the south side of the city, surrounded by trees for shade and privacy, and has lots of room to exercise. There's a small skate park, shaded areas, and paved walkways. Remember to leash up Fido before coming to this park, and bring some water and clean-up bags!
The small town of Glendale provides a great escape to humans and pets from the busy life in Denver, and also hosts 2 animal hospitals, a dog-friendly downtown walk, and lots of love!
