North Miami
North Miami has a few restaurants and places to go with your pup. Bulldog BBQ is a dog-friendly restaurant that serves a variety of barbecue dishes. The restaurant welcomes people and their dogs to eat at their outdoor tables. Bulldog BBQ is located at 15400 Biscayne Road. Tuna’s Raw Bar & Grille is located at 17859 W. Dixie Hwy. This restaurant offers many seafood dishes, and welcomes dogs to dine with their people. Walk off all that delicious food at Greynolds Park, just a few minutes away from Tuna’s. Greynolds is a large urban park that spans over 249 acres and offers several walking trail to explore with your pawesome pal.

Miami Beach
Miami Beach is 13 miles south of North Miami. Haulover Beach Park is located at 10800 Collins Avenue. This park features a bark park with a fully fenced enclosure. A second enclosure is set aside for small dogs. This is the pawfect place to let Fido romp and run off his leash, and make some new fur-iends in the process! Waste stations are available, as are water fountains which are designed for both humans and dogs. This park also gives people and their pups the chance to experience the beach together. Parts of the beach in this park are designated for canine usage. The directions to the beach are posted at the Bark Park entrance. The park is free, but the parking is a bit costly, so just be mindful of that.

Fort Lauderdale
Fort Lauderdale is 20 miles north of North Miami. This city is a pawpular tourist destination in Florida, and has many Fido-friendly activities for people to enjoy with their pups. Fort Lauderdale Canine Beach is located at 1399 N. Fort Lauderdale Blvd. This beach park has drinking water for the pups. Be sure to use the provided waste bags and bins for cleaning up after your canine companion. Leave nothing behind on this beach but your footprints! This is the pawfect place to unwind with your canine and enjoy some mutts-needed beach time. The beach park has the added security of having a park officer regularly patrolling the area.

Hollywood
Hollywood is 12 miles north of North Miami. Dog Beach of Hollywood is located at 4900 N. Surf Road. This is a beautiful stretch of beach that off-leash dogs can enjoy with their people. Registration is required to use this beach park. A park ranger stationed at the park can take the payment, or payment can be at the Parks Department. Check the official city website for opening and closing times, as these may change. Hollywood also has many restaurants that offer dog-friendly dining. Sugar Reef Grill is located at 600 N. Surf Road, and offers a person with a pup a great seat on an outdoor patio with a view of the ocean.

Key Biscayne
Key Biscayne is 18 miles south of North Miami. Hobie Island Beach Park is located at 3401 Rickenbacker Cswy. This designated piece of beach gives dogs the freedom to roll in the sand unimpaired by a leash. Dogs can play in the sand or get a taste of the ocean surf. Visitors to Key Biscayne will find it hard not to sample some of the seafood offered in several dog-friendly restaurants, like the Atlantica Fish House and Bayside Hut. Dogs are welcome -- provided they’re on leash -- in the outdoor covered deck. Sushi Siam is located at 632 Crandon Road and serves Japanese and Thai food with an emphasis on seafood. Patrons with pups are welcome to dine in the outdoor tables.
