Hallandale, Florida started off as a small trading post for the Florida East Coast Railway. The original settlers valued the natural beauty of this area. It is now a recreational community that very obviously loves its pets, which is evident in the number of dog groomers in the area. There are quite a few parks and beaches in the area as well, so you won't have to worry about being bored! You'll even find a couple veterinary clinics right in town to take care of your furry friend.

Your first stop in Hallandale should be BF James Park and Pool. Dogs aren't allowed in the pool, but they're welcome to explore the trails and open areas. You can choose between the walking trail for a leisurely walk or the fitness trail to get a little bit of a workout. You will have to keep a leash on your dog while you're here. It is your responsibility to clean up after your pet as well.

Golden Isles Park is next. This is the pawfect park for everyone in the family! There are playgrounds to play in for your two-legged kids, and your four-legged kids will enjoy the dog run where they can get off their leash and play safely.

You and your hound will love exploring sunny Hallandale, FL!

Hallandale Beach is home to a park called Joseph Scavo Park. This park is pretty barktastic! It is the largest park in the area and features a walking trail that circles two separate dog parks -- one for big dogs and one for little dogs -- and a basketball court. The dog parks have doggie waste centers, water stations, and are fenced so that you and your dog can enjoy your day safely. There are benches for you to sit on while you watch your pup play. All dogs must be current on vaccinations, and you have to provide proof of vaccinations to play here.

    #3 North Beach

In the North Beach neighborhood of Miami Beach, you'll find a furrific Bark Beach. It's a little over twenty miles from Hallandale, but it's a barktastic place to play with your pup! There are eight blocks for you and your dog to enjoy the sand and surf. You don't need a leash if your dog is well-behaved and will stay with you. #5 South Beach

If your hyper hound isn't tuckered out yet, make one more stop while you're in Miami Beach: Flamingo Dog Park.
