Cooper City has been on an upward swing ever since it was founded by Morris Cooper in 1959. In 2007, it made Family Circle’s Top 10 Best Cities for Families list. Whether you’re bringing a gaggle of kids or just your fur-baby, Cooper City is an amazing place to be. There are nine private veterinarians and clinics in Cooper City to ensure that your pup stays ready for your next adventure.
The Cooper City Memorial Park is a great destination for the Cooper City area. This public park is often the host to gorgeous events. Soak in some Cooper City culture with your dog by your side, or enjoy the park’s green, rolling hills when an event isn’t in session. You can also check out Pine Lake Park. This simple park has a small playground and large, open fields for sports or exploring. Dogs will love to follow their nose all over the park, but there’s something here for the whole family! Flamingo Park is another great, family friendly park that goes down to a beautiful pond water feature. You dog should be on leash at all of these parks.
Cooper City is a pawsome place to relax, unwind, and enjoy yourself. With the great company of your dog by your side, your Florida paradise starts in Cooper City.
The Christie Schafale Park in the Madison Lakes neighborhood of Cooper City is a simple park that lets the beauty of the area shine. There are more modern amenities, like restrooms and a covered workout area, but there’s more land that’s just open space. This provides great views of the natural lakes in the area. You can take a walk down by the water and feel separate from the busy energy of thriving Cooper City. There is a small playground, but most of the space is open and green. Be on the lookout for sports games, and keep your dog on leash while exploring this park.
Dawn Park is a large, open space park. There’s a small playground, but otherwise the grounds are open! Take to the walkway for a stroll under the shading trees, or let your dog explore the meadows with you by his side! Dawn Park requires dogs to be leashed, but there’s so much room that you don’t have to worry about getting a good workout in. Energetic dogs will love all there is to see and sniff, and more sedate puppy pals will enjoy relaxing in the sun. Bring a doggie bowl to help your special dog enjoy the drinking fountains!
The Ted Ferone Park in Tanglewood is a residential park that serves a community of sports fans and young children. There’s an ample play structure perfect for kids, and open fields that are easy to convert to soccer or other sports. For dog walkers, the best feature is the path that runs around the outside of the park. It’s a simple, easy to walk loop, but it gives you a path through the park! Keep your dog on leash while visiting Ted Ferone Park. There are drinking fountains and shade trees, but you’ll want to bring a doggie bowl to share with your pup.
Tamarind Park in the Forest Lake neighborhood keeps things simple. This park is divided into two sections. There’s a playground and picnic table area perfect for family get togethers or a lunch outdoors, and a wide, grassy field. This field is usually used for sports or walking, depending on if there’s a game going on or not. Hit this park in the morning and evening if you want to avoid a crowd, as plenty of children use this park. Peak hours are weekend mornings and right after school gets out. Dogs have to be leashed in Tamarind Park.
Natalie's Cove Park is a great community park offering tennis courts and sports fields. The white picket fence helps the park look idyllic. Social dogs will love that this popular park is usually busy--it gives them people to watch! Let their nose lead the way through this park’s green fields, or stick to a brisk walk around the perimeter. Whether you’re just looking for a place to stretch your dog’s legs, or you’re really hoping for something relaxing, Natalie’s Cove Park delivers. There are drinking fountains in this park, but you’ll want to bring your own doggie bowl!
