The Peace Mound Park in Tequesta is a great place to exercise your dog and learn about Florida at the same time. You can see a Tequesta (local Native American) burial mound in the park. Your dog is probably going to be more impressed with the walking paths, though! This 8-acre park has plenty of room to explore, so hit the walking trails to wear out your pup. Your dog does have the remain leashed inside the park, but with so much to do, he won’t even notice! Bring your own bowl so your dog can drink from the fountains.

Three Village Road
Heron Park in the Three Village Road neighborhood of Weston is a laid back, community oriented park. It does have a playground and some picnic features, but most of the park is open space. If the sports fields aren’t in use, your dog is welcome to explore them. There is also a small lake and a path that wraps around it. This path is an excellent choice for a scenic dog walk. Indian Trace Park serves the Bermuda Springs community. It’s primarily a hub for children. There are wide fields that are taken over for soccer leagues and the like on weekends, as well as a playground and some picnic tables. Social dogs will love the crowds, but shy dogs will have a better time if you avoid the peak weekend morning and after school hours. There are walking paths in the park, which are great for walking your dog! Leashed dogs are the only sort allowed in Indian Trace Park.
