They have several green fields that are great for romping, and a fitness trail that your dog will love to explore with you. You can also just relax at the picnic tables. There are facilities in the park that your dog can’t go in, such as the enclosed community center. Bring your own water dish, since all the fountains are designed for humans.

Woodmont Natural Area in Woodmont is a place for you to get away from it all. Though small, this park makes great use of its space. This area is large and ungroomed, allowing native Florida plants a chance to bloom and grow. This adds to the feeling that this park is far away, rather than nestled in the heart of Tamarac! Leashed dogs are welcome to enjoy the nature trail with you. The trail is popularly used by joggers and cyclists, so it’s important to keep your dog close. Bring your own water (and a doggie bowl for sharing) because this natural area doesn’t have fountains.

The Tamarac Veterans’ Park is a great place to get a taste of local Tamarac culture. This canal park is a beautiful testament to the area’s respect for veterans. Tephford Park in West Glen is a great place to walk your leashed dogs. The park has a path that runs around the entire perimeter of the park. One side is straight, while the other curls dramatically at times. Walking the entire path covers a distance of just over a mile.
