North Wilton Manors

North Wilton Manors

Looking for a furrific dog park? You’ll want to head to Colohatchee Bark Park! This off-leash dog park requires a membership to visit, but the membership is well worth it. Small and large dogs have separate, roomy places to play and frolic in the grass. This is the pawfect spot for a relaxing on-leash walk, too -- the raised boardwalks overlooking the water make for some truly beautiful scenery. You’ll want to bring along the essentials, including water and waste bags. This dog park is open daily, except for Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Surfside

Surfside

Surfside, FL, located 36 miles from Wilton Manors, is home to the beautiful Haulover Beach Park. You’ll find a designated off-leash dog park within the larger community park. If you park in lot #3, you’ll be right outside the entrance of the bark park. There is a $2 fee to park, but other than that the park is open to the public from 8 AM to sunset, 7 days a week. While here, you and your pooch should sniff out the beach, where your pal is more than welcome to play in the sand and water. There are several shaded areas and plenty of room in the separated areas for your pooch to run around and mingle with other dogs their own size. The park also offers water fountains for your canine companion as well as for you. Picnic benches and waste disposal spots are some mutts-appreciated amenities here. Hit the road and make the drive for this furrific beach park!

Fort Lauderdale

Fort Lauderdale

The muttropolis of Fort Lauderdale is just 5 minutes outside Wilton Manors. It’s home to loads of Fido-friendly spaces, but one of our favorites is Fort Lauderdale Canine Beach. This is a hot spot for dog owners, especially on the weekends! Furry friends are welcome to play from Friday through Sunday from 3 PM to 7 PM. You will need a permit for your pooch, but it’s inexpensive and relatively easy to acquire. You’ll also need a parking pass -- only $7 for the weekend -- for this on-leash dog beach. There is a large area for you and your pooch to enjoy a walk down by the water. This pawesome beach even supplies bags for clean-up as well as shower facilities to wash the sand out of your pal’s fur before heading home.

Hollywood

Hollywood

Around 14 miles from Wilton Manors, you’ll find The Dog Beach of Hollywood, a wonderful stretch of beach that your pup is more than welcome to explore off-leash. This is a weekend dog beach and does require a pass to visit, but it is best to check the website for the price and the hours, as these change throughout the year. A perk of this beach is that it is monitored by a ranger to ensure every pup -- and human! -- stays safe.. You will want to bring some water, waste disposal supplies and something for shade since you will be on the beach. If you’re looking for a puptastic beach where your pal can make new fur-iends, come on down to Hollywood!
Edgewood

Edgewood

If your pooch loves to swim and socialize, this dog-friendly neighborhood is for you! The Dog Swim and Bark Park at Snyder Park is a great little spot for pooches and their owners. A membership is required to play here, but during the week, it’s free to visit and free to park. On certain days, the bark park is closed for maintenance and cleaning; it’s best to check their website for this information, as it changes often. There is a dry area for your pooch to enjoy the agility equipment and hoses for bathing if they get dirty. In the lagoon, there are plenty of shaded areas with a few benches and a very pretty waterfall! The off-leash park is fenced for extra safety. If you want to bond with your pup, this is a great spot to visit -- just grab your waste disposal supplies and some water for a pawtastic time!
