A fascinating piece of information about Dania, Florida is that it was once known as the Tomato Capital. It was also one of the first places settled as a town in Florida. The area is home to beaches, the Everglades, and many shopping opportunities. It is breathtakingly beautiful, with views that you simply cannot see anywhere else in Florida. Even the wildlife is unique to the area.

Dania also has a few pet-friendly places for you and Fido to explore! Chester Byrd Park has playgrounds and basketball courts as well as benches and a walking trail. This is a pawfect place for you to come and spend a few hours just relaxing and enjoying the barktastic weather that's so characteristic of Florida.

If you want to grab a bite to eat, paw on over to Dairy Belle. They have fresh burgers and a menu that will have your mouth watering as soon as you sit down. Don't forget to grab an ice cream cone or a sundae! Your dog will be welcome as long as he is on-leash. He will even get his own bowl of water!

Mildred V. Jones was a lover of the city. She believed that each person that lived and played here should strive to better the community. She was an active voice for the parks. That is why when she passed away the city named this section after her. There is a quiet walking path, benches that overlook the water, and a general sense of peace within the park. You and your dog can walk the paved trail beside the water and feel like you are a million miles away from your hectic life. This is a hidden gem that where you won't find a lot of tourists, so it's perfect for an outing with a shy pup.

The Dania Beach Bar is an amazing restaurant. Besides running the clean-up projects for the local beaches, they also have live music. You and your dog can come grab an outdoor table and watch the waves while sipping on your favorite drink. The vibe is so laid-back and relaxing that you won't want to leave! It's definitely an exciting place to be on the weekends. Just be sure that your dog can handle the loud music and crowds before you bring him, and he'll need to be leashed, of course. So what are you waiting for? Come grab a burger and relax for a bit!
