Golden Isles

Waterways Dog Park is the only dog park in Aventura, and it’s exclusivity has made it extremely pupular. There is one item of note: the park is open to Aventura residents only, and locked with a card--however, if you’re visiting the town, you can speak to City Hall about a shorter pass. It’s worth the trouble: this park is good sized and located on the waterway, giving you a great view while your pup romps with his new friends! The area is separated into large and small sides, and there is water available. Bring your own doggie bags, as waste management is enforced in this park.

Aventura North

Aventura North is home to a hot restaurant that’s perfect for upscale but comfortable dining with your dog. Barrio Latino Restaurant prides itself on delivering authentic, mouth watering Cuban food. This upscale eatery offers a rustic, exposed brick vibe that is sure to please the humans at your table. Unless your dogs have an eye for fashion, however, that won’t impress them. The dogs will be more interested in the patio seating with a water view that allows them to lounge at your feet while you dine on Barrio Latino Restaurant’s variety of soups, grilled meats, and other Cuban favorites.

Biscayne Yacht and CC

This neighborhood of Aventura is home to the Don Soffer Exercise Trail. This simple path runs two miles along a golf course! It’s mostly shaded, making it a great place to exercise in that hot, Florida sun. This path has semi-frequent drinking fountains. Best of all, most are modified so your dog can drink as well! Your dog must be leashed while you’re using the exercise trail. It’s more than just a rule--the path is popular with cyclists and roller skaters, as well as walkers and joggers. When you’ve worked out, grab a bite at Juice and Java Cafe Equinox, where healthy foods are served to a dog friendly patio.

Aventura South

Aventura South is a bustling, popular neighborhood in Aventura. Start with a trip to Veterans Park, a 2-acre lot with a covered playground and open, grassy field perfect for exploring with your pup. Once you’ve worked up an appetite, choose from Aventura South’s three great, dog-friendly restaurants. Novecento Aventura serves authentic Argentinian cuisine with favorites like ceviche and empanadas. Mr. Chef’s offers delicious and affordable Chinese food for dine in or take out, with three tables perfect for bringing your pup. The Green Eggs Cafe rounds out the selection with high quality, fresh ingredient American favorites. They also offer many items that can be made vegan and/or gluten-free!

Biscayne

Biscayne in Aventura is a doggie dining destination. It offers two great restaurants with dog-friendly outdoor seating. If you’re in the mood for quick Mexican that doesn’t dial down the flavor, Salsa Fiesta is the place to go. If you’re eager to linger over your meal, you can enjoy their outdoor tables. If you want to grab a quick bite, order online before you arrive and you can be eating as soon as you get there. The Avila Bistro blends Venezuelan classics like arepas and grilled skirt steak with the caffeine convenience of a coffee shop. Get a fresh espresso or coradito with your meal!
