Dog Areas in Hialeah Gardens

2 Eateries

Ever heard of a tourist camp getting so out of control that local officials just turned it into a city? Now you have! Hialeah Gardens, which is about 15 miles outside of Miami, was first founded as Walter C. Ohlerts Tourist Camp, but in 1948, the city council unanimously decided to incorporate it as a town. Now, the city has a pretty big population of over 23,000 people! Not too bad for an old tourist camp!

Hialeah Gardens is a great place for dog owners. While there isn’t a lot for you within the city, there are dozens of opportunities to have some fun with your furry friend just miles away! There are two dog-friendly restaurants in Hialeah Gardens. One is an Applebee’s, and the other is a local Latin café. Fido can join you on the patio at either restaurant. Make sure to bring a leash and water bowl for your doggie dinner date!

There are also a handful of veterinarians in the area, so you and your family can choose the best option for Fido. Whether you’re looking for somewhere to settle down or you’re just trying to decide where to take a vacation, Hialeah Gardens can be your and Fido’s new favorite place!
