If you drive about 15 minutes or four miles from Fontainebleau, you’ll find yourself in Doral’s Trails and Tails Dog Park. This dog park has plenty of room for your dog to run around, letting even the most rambunctious pups run around and burn off some pent-up energy. There are separate areas for dogs of different sizes, allowing your dog to play it safe. Water and waste disposal bags are provided. Every other week, the park shuts down one day for routine maintenance, so plan your visits around that. Your dog is sure to have a barkin’ good time!

A quick 20-minute drive from Fontainebleau, and you and your pooch can enjoy Miami Springs Dog Park together. This dog park has a secret weapon for hot, South Florida summer days: kiddie pools! Like most dog parks, there’s a separate section of the park for smaller dogs, so you don’t have to worry about your dog accidentally getting hurt. Water is provided by the park so that your dogs don’t get overheated while having fun, but you’ll want to have your own waste bags with you. This park usually isn’t too crowded, though, so you might want to bring some toys along just in case.

Amelia Earhart Park

If you’re looking for another dog park to visit with your furry friend, travel a little over 16 miles north of Fontainebleau to Hialeah’s Amelia Earhart Dog Park. Not only does this dog park have plenty of space for your dog to run around and water fountains so he doesn’t get thirsty, it also has things for you to do! There’s exercise equipment in the park, and there are also picnic tables if you want to bring lunch. What more could you ask for?
