This beautiful neighborhood park welcomes dogs on-leash, and it has a flat, paved path where you can take your dog for leisurely strolls. This path takes you around the park’s sports fields and its playground. You can also go for runs with your dog in the park’s large open fields, or you can relax together on one of the park’s benches. Bring water and doggy bags with you, and have a good time exploring this park with your furry best friend.

Southwest 40th Street

This Miami neighborhood is home to Tropical Dog Park, a pawsitively amazing off-leash area. Located just three miles from Sunset, this dog park has two separate sections: one for small dogs and one for large dogs. Both areas are fully fenced, and they have lots of trees that keep the park cool on those hot Florida days. There’s also a fun obstacle course for your pup to play on. If all the excitement makes your dog thirsty, water is available in the park. If you want to get a bite to eat after the park, head over to Sergio’s. Sit at one of their dog-friendly outdoor tables, and enjoy classic Cuban fare.

Collins Avenue

If you want to hit the beach with your pup, head to Haulover Beach Park. This park is located 28.5 miles from Sunset, and it allows dogs on the beach from 8 AM to 3 PM every day. While you’re here, you and your dog can enjoy splashing in the warm ocean water together or going for long walks along the shoreline. If your pup isn’t a water lover, Haulover Beach Park also has a fenced-in, grass-filled dog run. This dog run includes separate sections for small and large dogs, and it has a doggy water fountain. Your pup will love spending the day at this pawesome park!

Quail Ave

This neighborhood is home to Miami Springs Bark Park, a great off-leash area. Located 14 miles from Sunset, this dog run includes separate areas for large and small dogs. Both areas feature plenty of space for your dog to run around, and the bark park has two plastic kiddy pools where your pup can cool off on hot days. There are also lots of tennis balls around, and a water fountain is available for your pup. After the dog park, continue your fun day out with lunch at Burritoville. This Tex-Mex spot welcomes dogs at their outdoor tables, and they’ll bring your dog water. While your dog enjoys their water, you can dine on burritos, fajitas, chimichangas, tacos, and more.

South Pointe

Located 20 miles from Sunset, this Miami Beach neighborhood is home to South Pointe Park. This fun-filled park has an off-leash area where your pup can run, play, and make new friends. Doggy bags are available in the park, but you’ll want to bring water with you. You can also take your pup for on-leash walks on South Pointe Park’s paved pathway. As you go along the path, you’ll get amazing views of South Beach and the Atlantic Ocean. Your dog’s tail will wag with excitement when they see all the fun things available in this beautiful park!
