Palmetto Estates
Palmetto Estates is an neighborhood in the north-west corner of Palmetto Bay. It’s home to the town’s only dog park, making this a must-see spot in Palmetto Bay! Perrine Wayside Park has everything your pup could ask for! It has a natural interior water feature that’s great for playing! If your dog prefers to stay dry (or you don’t want to deal with mud right now) there’s still plenty to do! The entire park is fenced, but be aware that the main area is one size fits all. If your small pup is too shy for the big leagues, you may want to keep them on leash somewhere else.36

Perrine
Palmetto Bay Park in the neighborhood of Perrine is a fantastic park for a huge get together. The park’s main focus is sports. It spans over 25-acres, making it the perfect place to get some exercise. The park houses six softball fields, basketball courts, and a playground! If it’s just you and your dog, however, you’re going to prefer the walking path. It’s lined with trees and runs a loop around the park, making it a woofderful way to work off some energy! Leashed dogs are welcome, and bring a bowl to get some water for your pup after your workout!

Central Palmetto Bay
Bill Sadowski Hammock Preserve is not an area where hammocks grow naturally from the ground. It’s still an amazing place to take your pet in Central Palmetto Bay. This little spot of land is a preserve, so it’s very important to keep your dog on leash the entire visit. It’s the best way to convince the wildlife it’s safe to stay! Though your dog can’t visit the nature center, the two of you can explore the many paths and bike trails that make the park so popular. It’s also a great fishing spot, so bring a posse and find something for everyone!

Deering
Waterfront picnics are one the charms of Florida, and they don’t get better than an afternoon lunch at Snowden’s Dam. This structure is in the background while your lunch is in the foreground. There’s also space for launching boats (motorized and man powered!) and fishing at this location. Relax on the grass next to the water feature, or take your pup for a long walk down the river front! Just be aware that drinking fountains are few and far between at this park, and pack water of your own for yourself and your dog. It’s hotter than it feels outside!

King’s Bay
Ludlam Pineland Preserve is a small park great for shy dogs. If you don’t want to get caught up with the crowd, this is the place to go. This park doesn’t have as many amenities as some others, but it does have green grass and room to walk! Ludlam Pineland Preserve is in King’s Bay, a neighborhood that straddles Palmetto Bay and neighboring Cutler Bay. If you’re north of downtown Palmetto Bay, this park is the closest place you can go to get away from it all and feel like you’re out in nature! Bring your own water bowl for your pup to drink out of, and be sure to keep your dog on leash inside the park.
