Downtown Youngsville

Downtown Youngsville

The heart of Youngsville is home to the dog-friendly Hook’d Up Bar and Grill. This restaurant has six dog-friendly patio tables. No matter what type of food you’re in the mood for, Hook’d Up will have you hooked! Want a burger or po’boy? They’ll hook you up! If you’re in the mood for Mexican, the tacos are pawsitively delectable. Fido must be on his best behavior while you’re chowing down, and he also needs to stay on a leash at all times; you wouldn’t want him trying to be a chow-hound at the next table over.

River Ranch

River Ranch

Looking for more dog-friendly dining? Head ten miles north to Lafayette’s River Ranch neighborhood. If you’re not wanting anything too heavy, visit The Lab! With a name like that, of course it’s dog-friendly. This laid-back café has mouthwatering pastries and several types of coffee. The Lab has ten dog-friendly patio tables. If you’re in the mood for something a bit more filling, head over to Romacelli Bistro e Vino. Not only does this restaurant serve Italian dishes, but they also have Cajun and Mediterranean options. Patio tables are dog friendly. A leash is required at both restaurants. Bone Appetit!

If you don’t mind a 15-minute drive to Lafayette, head to Lafayette Dog Park at Young Park! This off-leash dog park is fully fenced in, allowing your dog to get in some exercise and burn off any pent-up energy. Water is provided by the dog park, so you don’t have to worry about your dog getting overheated in the Louisiana humidity. For adventurous dogs, the park offers agility equipment. If you prefer taking your dog to play at night, the park has plenty of lighting. Locals love welcoming new people to the park, so come on by!

This off-leash dog park is located in Brown Memorial Park, but don’t be fooled; it’s still a very spacious bark park! Lush, green grass is maintained in the park so that your dog doesn’t have to deal with artificial turf or mulch. The park provides water and waste bags for you to use. Shaded benches are provided for dog moms and dads. There’s also a one-mile trail that wraps around the park, so you can get some exercise, too.
