“Dog hair is my glitter.”

Hi! I love and care for my clients' pets like they are my own! I carry private pet care insurance (in addition to insurance with Wag), and I'm a member of multiple organizations that focus on continued education for pet sitters and dog walkers. I retired from my position in quality control with the government in 2017, and I've been able to turn my passion for animals and love of the outdoors into my full time job. I look forward to meeting new furry friends!

Hello, I am a Marine reservist and the times when I am not training or working for my Marine Corps is when I love to stay active by dog walking/play. I have had a life long love of animals. I have worked for different doggie daycare/boarding/training facilities where I have gotten my kennel technician certificate. I have taken a pet massage class from a trade school, as well. I also have in my life a very special dog that my husband and I have had since she was a puppy and she is 8 years old. My family and I love to spend time outdoors with her, and I will bring that love to your fur babies. I believe you can't put a price on a piece of mind with your loved ones. With me, you can trust that I will put your pet's happiness, health, safety, and care first. Dogs are a joy! Thank you for your time!

Hello! For 4 decades, dogs have been my passion. Three years ago, I decided to finally take my professional life where I've always thought it belonged - into the dog care industry. I work for a doggie daycare/boarding facility in the afternoons and do dog walking in mornings & on weekends. I'm experienced with all sizes, breeds, and ages; and I'm CPR/first-aid certified. My own pack consists of a 9 y/o Plott, a 3 y/o Catahoula Leopard Dog, and a 2 y/o Tripawd Catahoula/German Shepherd mix.

Dog Walking in Baton Rouge

Whether you and your dog like to hike, play fetch, or simply lounge in the sun, Baton Rouge has a place for the two of you to spend some quality time together. The city's parks are managed by the BREC, which is a member of the National Recreation and Park Association, and offer a wide range of activities for animal lovers and their pets.

There are many dog parks located throughout Baton Rouge, including Raising Cane's Dog Park at the Greenwood Community Park. The community park itself is 390 acres of open land that counts a golf course, a playground, and a lake amongst its attractions. If you're planning on hosting a toy breed, or maybe a massive, the dog park has distinct areas for large (i.e. Napoleon!) and small dogs and is great for some off-leash exercise.

The Highland Road Community Park offers a concrete walking path, a grand pavilion for outdoor events, and a recreation center. Dogs must remain on leash here, but there's plenty of space for pet owners and their loyal companions to roam.

If you're hungry, stop in at one of Baton Rouge's pet-friendly restaurants. Several establishments allow dogs out on their patios, and a handful even offer a special menu for their canine visitors. Get some exercise at one of the city's parks, and then stop in for a bite to eat with your pup.

This makes it the perfect place for you and your furry friend to get some exercise.

Sometimes, your dog just needs to get out and stretch their legs. In that case, take them to Forest Dog Park, located between the Afton Oaks and Li Ricchi neighborhoods. This dog park is completely fenced in and has two areas: one for small dogs and the other for large dogs. The park also has plenty of amenities including water, seating for owners and waste bags. Furthermore, the park was recently renovated, so it has a brand new kiddie pool! When it's hot outside, your dog would love nothing more than to cool off and feel the fresh water in their fur.

Located in the southernmost part of Baton Rouge is the Burbank Dog Park. This off-leash dog park is more water than actual land. There is large pool in the middle of park that dogs are often seeing playing in. The pool is surrounded by grass and completely fenced in. There is plenty of room to run around in after your dog is done swimming. It is also very well-maintained, so you can sit back in the grass and relax while your dog has the time of their life! Just make sure you take your own doggie poop bags!

Located in the busy area of West Baton Rouge, among restaurants, shops, and Louisiana State University, you will find Raising Cane’s Dog Park. This clean and well-maintained dog park is smaller than other parks in the area, but has plenty of fun toys to make up for it! The park not only has lots of water toys for your dog, but also has plenty of seating for dog owners. However, the park is not separated by dog size, so if your dog is very small or shy, you may want to keep a close eye on them.

This historically significant site is not only interesting, but has plenty of natural beauty. Many Baton Rouge residents visit the Rosedown Plantation to walk, take photos, and have picnics. Trust us, you will have a beautiful and incredible day at this historic location.
