“It’s a good day for a walk!”

I have two dogs of my own and I’ve always had dogs dating back to my childhood. My partner is a vet technician and we actually came together over our love of dogs. My career allows me to work from home and I have a good amount of free time, which is why walking dogs is perfectly suited for me.

I am a HUGE dog-lover. I've had a family dog my entire life, and have always been a huge part of their training and care. My family's current dog Brandy (English Field Setter) was adopted at seven years old- her previous owner had neglected her and it took her a bit to trust us, but now she's as sweet as ever. I was glad to be a part of warming her up to us. Marley, our other setter, just passed last December at age 16, and I helped raise him since he was a pup. Needless to say, dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I've pup sat, walked and even boarded them since I was 16 or so. I've had experience with puppies to geezers (like Marley), and have worked with a variety of breeds and temperaments. It would be my pleasure to help someone with the care of their dog.

Hi! I want you to know how much I LOVE being a dog walker! I find that most of the time I prefer dogs over people. I grew up with 3 dogs, an australian shepard, a pomeranian spaniel mix, and a beagle. I am the go to pet sitter for family members, and neighbors! I rescued my own dog 10 years ago, and he is my absolute favorite person in the world!

I have loved animals of all kinds since I was a little girl, but dogs have always had an extra-special place in my heart. I advocated for my family to get a dog, and we finally adopted one on my eighth birthday. She is twelve years old now and is still my best friend! I have experience with walking both my own dog and others for the past ten years, as well as pet-sitting for neighbors and friends. I look forward to meeting your dog!

Dog Walking in Holland

Incorporated in 1783, the town of Holland borders the State of Connecticut to the south. The town’s library and community center are the perfect place for connecting with the community during its crafts, cards and billiards events. Although there are no Holland veterinarians, your pup will be well taken care of at locations in the nearby towns of Brimfield and Sturbridge.

For a pawrific outdoor experience, chck out the Hamilton Reservoir, a large 412-acre warm-water reservoir with nine miles of shoreline. Activities are plentiful, with spectacular water ski shows during the summer months. Fishing is top-notch, and it is a perfect place to drop your boat in for a cruise around the reservoir. Lake Siog, aka Holland Pond, has a beach to stroll on, areas to put in your canoe or boat, and a ¾ mile nature trail ending at picnic and grill areas. Don’t miss the 1.5-mile Tantiusques Loop Trail meandering through the woods past a former 1850’s working mine. Be sure to pack water and clean-up bags.

There is no dog-friendly dining in Holland's one seasonal restaurant, so plan accordingly when visiting the Reservoir and Lake. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the peacefulness this small town has to offer.
