Sitting within Lapeer County is the small village of Columbiaville. This small town sits along the Flint River, so if your pup enjoys the water, then this is the town for them. There are two veterinarians in Columbiaville, perfect if your dog needs to get a check-up in.
Zemmer Park sits along the river and is a great park to go and explore with your furry pal by your side. The park offers a boat launch, picnic area, and views of the Holloway Reservoir. There is a beautiful nature trail that goes throughout the park that you and Fido can use for a nice walk together, just make sure your dog stays on a leash.
Take a hike along the Southern Links Trailways with your pup. The trail connects the village of Columbiaville, Otter Lake, and Millington with a 10.2-mile trail. While hiking, you will pass through open fields, wetlands, farm lands, and a wooded forest. The trail is a mixture of packed dirt and pavement, perfect to use for a nice walk with your dog. The trail is constantly busy, so you and Fido won't be alone when you are out hiking.
Columbiaville is small, but holds a ton of amazing amenities that your dog will love exploring alongside you.
Head over to Marina Park and enjoy a nice day out along the river. The park has a boat dock, picnic tables, and grills that you and your pup can use. The Levi Cutting Park is a lovely park to hang out at with your dog. The park has some great amenities like picnic tables, grills, and a nice walking path. Just down the road from the Levi Cutting Park is the Veteran's Memorial Park which has a covered picnic area, a paved walking path, and a nice grass area for fetch. Your pup will love spending time at the Vermilya Park which has a playground, covered picnic area, restrooms, and a grass area for fetch.
The Torzewski County Park is a lovely park to spend the day at with your pup. The park has a lake that you and Fido can use to cool down in and splash around. There is also a pavilion for shade, water park, and fishing available. If your dog needs a walk, then this is a great park to visit since for its nature trail. Make sure to keep Fido on a leash when you are visiting. Located in Lapeer, and only twelve miles out from Columbiaville, your pup will have a great time at this park.
Head over to the Griswald Park for a fun afternoon out with your dog. The park sits on the Dock Lake, perfect if your pup loves the water. The park offers a huge grass area to run around, some trees for shade, and a covered picnic area. There is a small walking trail that you can use for a walk, but if you want a long walk, take a stroll along the lake on the packed dirt. Make sure to bring water and clean-up bags when you are visiting this park, which is located in Otisville and only six miles out from Columbiaville.
Spend a day out at Cramton Park with your furry pal. This pawsome park holds a playground, covered picnic area, tennis courts, and a paved walking path. A creek flows right through this park, perfect if it’s a hot day and you two want to cool down. Anrook Park offers a playground, large grass area, and a long walking path that you and Fido can use for a walk together. Head over to the Audubon Park and enjoy the large grass area, basketball courts, and long walking path around the park that can be used for a great walk with your dog. All these beautiful parks are located in Lapeer just down the road from Columbiaville.
The Holloway Reservoir Regional Park is a beautiful park to visit. The park sits on the Holloway Reservoir and offers fishing, a boat launch, and a great area to walk your dog along the water. The Richfield County Park is a pawsome park to check out. It holds a baseball diamond, canoe launch area, pavilion for shade, a picnic area, and a playground There is a trail that you both can use for a great walk together while you are visiting the park. Located in Davison and only six miles out from Columbiaville, your dog will love checking out these parks with you.
