The Mount Clemens neighborhood of N River Rd/ N Broadway St is directly adjacent to Harrison Township, and boasts a few parks that your pup will love. MacArthur Park is one of the largest in the neighborhood, at just over two acres in size, and serves as an arboretum that is popular with children who are learning about trees. There is a paved walking path that you and Fido can follow here, as well as a boardwalk with scenic waterfront views. Not too far away is the 1.6 acre Lawndale Park, with its playground, picnic benches and outdoor skating rink open in the winter, as well as Clemens Park, which is just under an acre in size and features a large grassy lawn that is pawfect for a picnic.

Kendrick

If your pooch loves to run around off the lead, then Kendrick in Mount Clemens, which is less than a mile from Harrison Township, is the neighborhood to head to. This is where you will find the Behnke Dog Park, which features one acre of fenced-off land for you and your pup to frolic about in. There is plenty for your dog to play with within the park, from an obstacle course to a fire hydrant to trees to sniff at, as well as a doggie water fountain, doggie waste stations and benches that make it easy for owners to socialize too.

Lake St Clair

In addition to the scenery, the park also boasts a playground, picnic areas, a wedding garden, and a few different paved walking trails, each one connecting up with the next, making this the pawfect place for a stroll with Fido. River Oaks

Just over a mile from Harrison Township is the River Oaks neighborhood in Clinton Township, and this is an area that your pooch will definitely love. This is where you will find the Clinton Township Dog Park, which stretches out for just over one and a half acres. Thanks to its secure fencing, your pup can safely run off the lead here, but you will need to bring your own doggie bags and drinking water with you. For a more scenic walk, Canal Park can also be accessed from this neighborhood. This 16 acre passive park features plenty of dense woodland for you and Fido to explore, with multiple hiking trails to follow.
