For a trip to the park with your furry friend, head to Stone Park when you are in Oxford! Here this is plenty of green grass for your pup to enjoy and space for playing fetch and practicing training. There is also some other pawsome amenities at Stone Park that you can enjoy with all the family. This includes lots of tennis courts and a tennis shop, as well as a baseball field where you can practice. with a playground for the kids, and restroom facilities, this park is perfect for a day out with your pup.

For some exercise with your beloved companion, don’t forget to visit The Grove when you are in Oxford! This is a pawsome place you can visit to retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a casual walk with your pup. There are walking paths you can follow with your pooch, as well as plenty of trees that provide shade when it is hot outside. For comfortable accommodation, stay at the Super 8 when you are in Oxford. This pawsome place lets you bring two pooches weighing up to 25 Ibs to stay for a small additional fee.

One of the best places in Oxford to stretch your and your pup’s legs is the South Campus Rail Trail that used to be known as the Thacker Mountain Rail Trail. This is a pawsome and sniff-tastic trail that is around 2.8 miles long, and runs along the old rail corridor of the Buckner’s Trestle train wreck. Your pooch will love to wander and investigate all of the new sights and sounds of nature as you explore the rail trail! Since bikes can use the South Campus Rail Trail, it may be best to keep your beloved companion on his or her leash.

Every pooch loves an afternoon at the park, which means you have got to visit Avent Park in Oxford! Here you can go for a pawsome leisurely stroll with your furry friend around the walking trail. There is also puptastic amenities here, including four tennis courts, a baseball field and picnic pavilion for enjoying a treat. If you get hungry, head to the Volta Taverna where you can dig into some delicious Mediterranean food, and your canine is welcome to join you at one of the outdoor picnic tables. You can also try the Pita Pit where you can get your paws into a variety of meat and veggie wraps. Again, there are outdoor tables with your pup can lay down and relax with you.

When you are out and about exploring everything that Oxford has to offer, you are bound to get hungry! This means that McAlister’s Deli has got to be in the cards for a bite to eat. This pawsome place is dog friendly and you can enjoy a freshly made sandwich, soup or salad here for lunch. Of course, your furry friend is more than welcome to join you at one of the six outdoor tables at McAlister’s Deli. Just be sure there is someone to watch your pooch while you are ordering, as there is not table service here – bone-a-petit!
