Beech Springs/ Frog Island
Saltillo City Park is located on City Park Road and offers a fun place to take the kids and your pooch. There is a large grassy field where your pup can chase a ball or frisbee, and you can walk around the track and get in some laps. Let Fido sniff and smell the trees or roll around in the grass and enjoy the fresh air. The kids will have fun on the playground, and you and Fido can relax on a bench with a cold bottle of water. The park is clean and well-maintained, but you will need to bring your own doggie waste bags and dispose of trash in convenient receptacles.

City Center
Just four minutes from the center of town, the Lake Lamar Bruce State Park is one of the best features in Saltillo. The lake is perfect for spending the day with your pup fishing off the banks or taking out a small boat. There are wide open grassy areas where Fido can run and play, or bring some sandwiches and enjoy them in the shaded picnic area. There is a camping area where you can pitch a tent or bring an RV, and your pup is welcome as long as he stays on his leash. The park is a great destination for socializing with friends and their furry companions.

Indian Hills
The Natchez Trace Parkway Visitor Center can be found in the Indian Hills neighborhood of Tupelo. You can stop by the Center and read about the local history or take your pooch for a walk among the trees and flowers. If you are driving the Parkway, this is a great place to get out and stretch your legs and let Fido enjoy some fresh air while you admire the beauty of the area. If you are planning to stay and check out local attractions, the Campground at Barnes Crossing is less than a mile from the Center on North Gloster Street. Pups are allowed in the campground as long as they stay on a leash and the campsites are well-maintained. There is free Wi-fi, cable, and a small dog area for your pooch. Spend some time walking around the campground and let Fido sniff all the plants and trees.

Northeast Tupelo
When traveling through Mississippi, plan to spend some time at the Elvis Presley Lake & Campground just 15 minutes southeast of Saltillo in the town of Tupelo. The campground covers 850-acres and offers access to the lake where you can fish or go out in the boat. Your pooch will love strolling around the water sniffing all the plants and wildlife while you enjoy the sunset over the lake. The campground is well-maintained with clean restrooms and plenty of space. It’s even reported that Elvis used to hang out in the area as a kid, and you and your pup can take the 10-minute drive to check out The King's birthplace.

Veterans Park
Fifteen minutes south of Saltillo, the Tupelo Bark Park can be found near the Veterans Memorial Park. Your pup will love the separate sections for both large and smaller pups where he can run around and socialize with his furry friends. The park provides free doggie waste bags, so it’s easy to clean up, and there is water available so your pup can stay hydrated. Outside the dog park, puppy parents can walk around the lake or hike on one of the nature trails. There is a splash park, ball fields, and a disc golf course to keep the kids entertained. Be sure to check out the War Memorial and admire the flowers and gardens with your furry companion.
