When Fido needs a walk, take a stroll over to Ballard Park where you can walk laps around the duck pond on the well-maintained walking track. Spending the day at the park gives you the opportunity to let the kids play at the splash park or climb on the playground equipment. Your pooch will love spending time outside and socializing with other pups in the park.
Other great dog-friendly options for stretching your legs with Fido are the hiking trails at the Natchez Trace Parkway Visitor Center. You can start out at milepost 266 and hike about 6 miles along the outskirts of Tupelo. If you and your pup get tired along the way, stop at the Old Town Overlook, Chickasaw Village Site, or Jackson Street Trailhead at milepost 260 for a rest or a drink of water.
