The Westside City Park is a well-maintained area where you can take Fido for a walk. The walking trail offers views of a variety of trees and plants, and your pooch will love sniffing and rolling in the grass. Since the path is also paved, you can push a stroller or wheelchair and give everyone in the family some fresh air. Kids will also enjoy the playground, and you can relax on a bench and sip a cold bottle of water with your furry companion. Older kids will like the disc golf course, and there is a splash pad where the kids can cool off. Plan a day out with your pup and get some exercise while enjoying the park amenities.

East New Site
If you are visiting the area, plan to spend some time at the Piney Grove Campground in New Site located on the Bay Springs Lake. Fido and your family can enjoy water activities or hiking along the Lake admiring the views. While exploring near the Natchez Trace Recreation Area, you can enjoy the amenities of the campground including a nice grassy area to walk your pooch. There are shade trees where you can set up some chairs, and the clean bathrooms are convenient. If your pooch loves spending time in the great outdoors, this is the perfect getaway destination.

About twenty miles north of Booneville, the Corinth Parks & Recreation area offers a nice spot to spend time with your pup. You can walk some laps around the track or explore the gardens and let your pooch sniff the trees. The playground is perfect for the kids and you can relax on a bench and watch them play. The park is peaceful and tranquil, and you and Fido can enjoy some exercise and fresh air. Before heading home, stop by Pizza Grocery where you can pick up dinner, including calzones, sandwiches, and salads, and relax at the outdoor seating. Another option for lunch or dinner with Fido is Sweet Peppers Deli. There are several pooch-friendly outdoor tables where you can enjoy your meal and chat with friends.12

If you travel about twenty miles south of Booneville, you will find the Lake Lamar Bruce State Park in Saltillo. When walking Fido through the campground, you will need to keep him on a leash. The hiking trails are well marked, but the paths are primitive, so you will need to wear your boots. Remember to bring some doggie waste bags and extra water bottles if you plan to spend the day exploring the park. You and Fido will have a great time admiring the views and wildlife native to Mississippi.
