City Center
Bolivar City Park features a walking and biking trail perfect for you and Fido. You can walk laps around the path or let your pup chase a ball in one of the fields. The playground is a great place for the kids to hang out, and you can relax with your pooch on a bench. The swimming pool is also located in the park, so let the kids enjoy the water while you and Fido spend quality time together. Close to the city park, you can also walk down to Frog Town Park at the intersection of Madison and Morgan Streets. You can walk around the basketball courts and get some exercise, just be sure to bring your own doggie waste bags.

Route 100/ Vildo Rd
Located on Stevens Road, Pleasant Run Creek Park is one of the newest parks in town and is great for walking your pup or fishing in the pond. You can stroll through the park and admire the gardens while Fido rolls around in the grass. You may want to stop by the picnic tables and enjoy a snack or refill your water bottles at the fountain near the restrooms. The pond is stocked with trout if you and your pup enjoy fishing while the teenagers play a game on the disc golf course. With over 170 acres of green space, you and your pup will be entertained for hours.

Hornsby
About 11 miles east of Bolivar, Big Buck Resort is located in Hornsby and is a great destination for Fido to run and stretch his legs. There are ATV paths and hiking trails where you can walk with Fido and enjoy some fresh air. Primitive camping is available, and you can pitch a tent and spend the night under the stars with your pup. There are a few spots for motorhomes, and the resort offers a swimming pool and a playground for the kids. You can walk around the lake and spend some time fishing, or let your pup sniff the plants and trees. Be sure to bring your own doggie waste bags and spend the day, or the week, having fun in the great outdoors.

Saulsbury
A few minutes south of Bolivar in Saulsbury, the Cherokee Landing Campground is perfect for a staycation or family and friends visiting with their pups. There are RV sites available with electric service and with 250-acres of space. There are hiking trails around the campground, and you can go fishing or canoeing in the lake. The campground is part of the Thousand Trails group in case you are eligible for a discount as a member. If you are looking for some fun and easy access to local attractions like Graceland or the paddle-wheel riverboat cruises, take your pup and head to the campground.

Stanton
One of the best places to visit in Tennessee is the Hatchie National Wildlife Refuge in Stanton. The quiet and peaceful location lets you and your pup get back to nature and enjoy the simple things in life. You can hike through the refuge and admire the plants while your pooch sniffs the trees and rolls in the dirt. There is a variety of wildlife in the refuge, so you will need to keep Fido on a leash and bring your own doggie waste bags. There is a nature center where the kids can learn about the local plants and animals and you can hike around the lake and watch the birds. If your pup enjoys spending time hiking and roaming through the wilderness, you both with have a great time at the wildlife refuge.
