If you're in the northern sector of Carolina Beach, you’ll find yourself having a regular ball -- a tennis ball, that is! Your dog is welcome to join you at Carolina Beach State Park, and although they are required to remain on a leash, your pup will enjoy the beautiful sights at their owner’s side while you enjoy a soothing walk. Pick up the pace and jog a bit on the number of paths from the beach which lead to the park grounds and the ponds where your pup can wade and get their little paws wet!

Northeast Carolina Beach

A bit more northward and directly along the coast, you and Fido will find the northeastern-most part of Carolina Beach. If you’re looking for a good place to have a bite to eat, be it for breakfast, lunch or dinner, bring your precious pup to Gibby’s Dock and Dine. A family-friendly restaurant with a deck that stretches out above the water, Gibby’s can’t be beat as far as the view. Additionally, your pup will immediately be offered a nice bowl of ice water. If they’re extra nice, they may even receive a treat from the friendly wait staff.

Central Carolina Beach

Make your way back to the Central area of Carolina Beach, and you’ll find another restaurant that will definitely appeal to the salty sea dog in your pup. The Lazy Pirate is a pet-friendly restaurant that serves wings, sandwiches, and everything in between. Dogs are allowed to join you at the upper deck tables before four in the afternoon, so bring your wily woofer to enjoy a nice lunch. Your pup pal will be provided fresh water, and there are usually other doggies present for your furry friend to socialize with. They’ll be the real star of the show!

Central Myrtle Grove

A ways northward, even further than you’ve previously explored, is where the beautiful Myrtle Grove can be found. Myrtle Grove is home to Island Hots. The food won't be the only hot dog at this pawticularly dog-friendly restaurant! Dogs are welcomed with open arms here, and there is even a meal specifically for Fido complete with a doggy treat for dessert. Your doggie dinner date will be provided with a large bowl of ice water to wet their whistle, and if you’re lucky, you'll find some other furry friends to distract Fido from your plate while you enjoy your meal!

Northwest Carolina Beach

Last but definitely not least, mosey on out to the western section of Carolina Beach for a doggone good time at Port City Java. Port City Java, a dog-friendly coffeehouse, is the perfect place to simply enjoy some time with your pup pal. Bring your laptop to get some work done while on the outdoor deck, where your precious pup is more than welcome to join you. You’ll enjoy the free wi-fi as well as the tasty selection of coffee, and your fuzzy little friend will enjoy spending time with their favorite human of all time -- you, of course!
