Recognized as one of the best family beaches in the country, Holden Beach is all about relaxed living and unspoiled beauty. This seaside town is mostly a residential community with a small commercial area, making it a dream destination for those who wish to slow down and get away from it all. Holden Beach does not have any animal hospitals, with the nearest facility being a 20-minute drive away in the neighboring community of Supply.

Does your pup love the sand and sea as much as you do? Then take him for leashed strolls on the beach! Holden Beach welcomes four-legged beachgoers for most of the year; the only time when pets are not allowed is from May 20th to September 10th, from 9 am to 5 pm. So grab your beach towel and Fido's leash, and head down to the water for some fun in the sun!

If Fido's not too fond of the beach, bring him to the Holden Beach Dog Park instead. Located near the end of a quiet street, this fenced-in dog park is divided into two areas for large and small canines. Water and pick-up bags are provided as well. Let your pup enjoy some off-leash time at the Holden Beach Dog Park; dogs must be leashed at all times anywhere else on the island.

Experience life in the slow lane with Fido in Holden Beach!
