Conveniently located on Route 17, this two-story hotel welcomes two pets up to 40 pounds for an additional fee. This waterfront eatery is extremely pooch-friendly, with pups of their own that “work” there, and staff that treat four-legged patrons really well. Expect Fido to be given water and lots of love when you arrive. Inlet View has two outdoor decks that welcome dogs; the lower deck is covered and has ceiling fans, while the upper one is uncovered and cooled by the waterway breeze. Wherever you choose to sit, you and Fido will be treated to puptacular views of the Shallotte River and Intracoastal Waterway as you tuck into your meal.

This campground on the Intracoastal Waterway offers full hook-up sites among mature oak trees, and amenities such as free Wi-Fi, electric service, a large swimming pool, and a private beach just for campers. The resort's location on a natural bluff provides pawtastic views of Ocean Isle Beach, Holden Beach, and the Atlantic Ocean, so take it all in and have some fun with your best friend! Doggos are welcome at the SeaMist Camping Resort as long as they are well-behaved, leashed, and cleaned up after.

Hop in the car, head down about 8 miles southwest of Shallotte, and treat your furry buddy to some fun in the sand on nearby Ocean Isle Beach! Take a leashed stroll on the sand and let Fido dip his paws in the sea during designated times. Ocean Isle Beach's lovely beach strand is open to doggos most of the time, except from 9 am to 6 pm from Memorial Day to Labor Day. After exploring the beach, stop in Drift Coffee and Kitchen to grab some food and coffee. This laid-back cafe has a dog-friendly porch where you can share an outdoor table with Fido.
