Sandy Creek is a small village located in Brunswick County about 15 miles northwest of Wilmington. There are several parks and natural areas near this community. If you're seeking professional care for your pooch, you'll find two veterinary clinics about ten miles southeast of here in Leland.
Do some exploring with your furry pal about 17.4 miles southeast of here at Brunswick Nature Park. This 911-acre undeveloped facility has hiking and biking trails that wander through the property. Investigate the wilderness area with your canine companion. Remember to keep him on a leash and to clean up after him.
Take a walk by the water at Brunswick Riverwalk Park at Bellville. This furrific area includes nature trails, a boardwalk, picnic shelters, and a dock that can accommodate smaller boats or canoes. Dogs may join you if they're on a leash. Bring waste bags with you.
Just 6.2 miles northeast of Sandy Creek, you'll find a nice little facility where you can stretch your legs with your four-footed friend. Head to Leland Community Park to play some frisbee or walk on the paved pathway. Make sure you keep your pup on a leash and pick up his droppings.

Best Dog Neighborhoods in Sandy Creek
The Sandy Creek/Northwest neighborhood of Leland is a sparsely populated area with a few small developments and sections of forested land. Go hiking along wooded country lanes with your furry pal out here. If you're looking for a nice park to visit with Spot, head to Northwest District Park off Andrew Jackson Highway. This facility has athletic fields, tables, and open spaces. Play some fetch in the grass with your special pal, then enjoy a picnic together. Dogs need to be on a leash at all times. Bring waste bags with you so that you can clean up after your pooch.
Eastbrook/Malmo is located in northern Leland about 3.5 miles southeast of Sandy Creek. This development includes private residences, a country club, and some pocket parks. There are sidewalks here where you can take a stroll with your four-footed friend. A pawesome little area park to visit with your fur baby is Leland Municipal Park on Town Hall Drive. This 8-acre property has a paved pathway, a playground, open areas, and tables. Take a few laps on the trail, then have a snack at one of the tables. Dogs on a leash can join you as long as you pick up their droppings.

A pawtastic place to visit with your pup is Cypress Cove Park located off Appleton Way. This place features 27 acres of wetland and just over an acre of upland property. There's a canoe launch where you can access Mill Creek. Launch into the water with your special pal and enjoy floating or fishing. Dogs can join you here if they're on a leash. Bring water and waste bags when you come.

In the neighborhood around Mill Creek and Bell Swamp, there are some farms and private homes. Walk past woods and fields with your pup to get your exercise here. Just up the road, on Westgate Drive, you'll find the Westgate Nature Park. This property has playground areas, a paved walking trail, a boardwalk, and nature paths on almost 150 acres of land. Enjoy a hike through wetlands and uplands with your furry friend. Dogs on a leash are welcome to accompany you. The park includes water and waste stations that make it easy for you to clean up after your pooch.
The Brunswick Forest development in Leland is about 11 miles south of Sandy Creek. This area includes private residences on 4,500 acres of wooded land. Head into Town Center and visit Family Dog Naturals to find some delectable treats and fun toys for your pooch. Spot is more than welcome to accompany you in the store. To get some exercise with your special pal, take advantage of the boardwalk that wanders across the natural area in the center of the neighborhood.
