Stone Chimney Road

Keep your doggo active and happy by taking them for daily walks or jogs at the Lockwood Folly District Park! Covering 20 acres, this park features a playground, concession stand, restroom building, office/storage building, and multiple athletic fields and courts, so you might catch a game or tournament while you're there. There are also three picnic shelters where you and Fido can sit and relax if you need to take a break from walking. Visitors say the Lockwood Folly District Park is always clean and well-maintained, so be sure to clean up after your pooch to help keep it that way!

The Ocean Aire Travel Park is an RV campground for the entire family, including four-legged members. With almost 350 full hook-up sites, Ocean Aire offers modern amenities such as a campground store, laundry facility, bathhouse, and swimming pool. Dogs are allowed at Ocean Aire as long as they are leashed and cleaned up after. Furry campers are also welcome at the nearby Holden Beach RV Campground. Situated on private grounds a couple of miles from the beach, the Holden Beach RV Campground features mature live oak trees and rolling land for a relaxing camping experience. Amenities include walking trails, private bathrooms, Wi-Fi, and free DVD rentals.

East Holden Beach

About 14 minutes south of Supply, the Bridgeview Park in nearby Holden Beach is a great place to look out onto the Intracoastal Waterway. From here, you and Fido will be able to see the Holden Beach Bridge, as well as boats coming in and out of the dock. Breathe in the fresh ocean air as you and your best friend take a relaxing stroll by the water. If you get hungry, Mermaid's Island Grill is just a stone's throw from the Bridgeview Park. This waterfront eatery is right on the beach, so you can enjoy a meal with a view from their dog-friendly alfresco dining area.

Rivers Edge

About 13 minutes southwest of Supply lies the Mulberry Street Park in the neighboring town of Shallotte. Since it is a pretty quiet place, it is pawfect for clearing your head while you get some exercise in with your canine companion. This 10-acre park offers walking trails that will lead you and Fido around a playground, pavilion, community garden, amphitheater, and grassy areas. In the summertime, the Mulberry Street Park hosts a weekly farmers market, so you can get some shopping done as well. Nearby eateries with dog-friendly outdoor seating include The Filling Station, which serves coffee and donuts, and the San Jose Mexican Restaurant, where fresh guacamole is whipped up at your table.

Rourk Woods

Don't let your furry pal stay indoors all day—bring them to the Shallotte Dog Park for some off-leash play! Hop in the car with Fido, drive out 11 miles southwest of Supply to nearby Shallotte, and look for the bark park within the Shallotte Township District Park. There are two sections for big and small pooches, each with shade trees and cleanup and water stations. After your pup is done romping with their friends, stop by Pelican's SnoBalls to grab an ice-cold treat. Pelican's offers more than 100 flavors of nut-free, gluten-free New Orleans-style shaved ice, which you can share with Fido at one of their outdoor tables.
