There is nothing better than a hike when the weather is nice outside! If you and your pooch love the outdoors, be sure not to miss out on the Point Woods Loop Trail when you are in Montauk! Here you can explore the sniff-tastic 5.5. mile trail with your leashed furry friend and admire the beautiful ocean bluffs. Another place to scout around with your pooch is the Shadmoor State Preserve. Here you can find pawsome trails, such as the Shadmoor State Park Preserve Trail where you can explore the beautiful golden beach with your pup on leash!

Every dog loves an adventure, so when you are in Montauk, be sure to head to the Hither Woods neighborhood! Here you will find the beautiful, Montauk Beach where your four-legged friend can experience the sand beneath his paws and the fresh sea breeze through his fur! Dogs are welcome off-leash at certain times of the year, as long as they have good recall. Another puptastic place for exercise with your pooch is the Fresh Pond Loop Trail! This is a pawsome place to stretch human and pup legs, with three miles of sniff-tastic trails to explore and beautiful views to admire. All pups must remain on leash.

Right next door to Montauk is the puptown of East Hampton. This makes a pawsome day out for you and your furry friend, since there are some dog friendly eateries that serve up delicious food all day long! This includes the Living Room Restaurant, which us a puptastic place for fine dining. You can sit back and enjoy dishes such as Swedish meatballs or rack of lamb while your pup sits with you in the garden seating area. For some caffeine, visit Jack’s Stir Brew Coffee. This coffeehouse brews fresh cups from South and Central American beans, which is sure to give you the energy to keep up with your pooch! There are two outdoor tables where you can chill out with your dog.

East Hampton Village Center
If you head 12 miles from Montauk, you will reach the pawsome village center of East Hampton. Bring your pooch for some fun in the sun at East Hampton Main Beach, with plenty of golden sand to run along and the oppawtunity to make a splash in the blue sea! This is the perfect setting for a peaceful stroll with your pup, and the best part is your furry friend is welcome to roam off-leash during the off-season! Be sure to bring some water for your panting pup when it is hot outside. If you furgot waste bags, you will find some provided at the entrance to the East Hampton Main Beach.
