North Pharsalia
The Pharsalia Woods State Forest is a pawsome place to visit with Fido in South Plymouth, and is just four miles out of Norwich. The forest offers a variety of activities including fishing, hunting, skiing, camping, biking, and hiking. While visiting, Fido needs to stay on leash, but he will love all the hiking trails the two of you can explore together. The Pharsalia Woods State Forest has six-miles of the Finger Lakes Trail that you can explore, plus you and your furry friend are also allowed to hike anywhere in the forest unless a sign is posted prohibiting you. Make sure to bring water and clean-up bags when you visit.36

Amblerville
The Ambler State Forest in New Berlin, only five miles out of Norwich, is a great spot to take Fido to for a fun day of exercise and exploring. The forest offers fishing, hunting. hiking, and plenty of wildlife for you and your furry friend to see. The wildlife includes mammals, song birds, raptors, and amphibians. Make sure to keep your pup on leash while visiting so he doesn't try to chase a squirrel while you are hiking.
