West End/ SUNY College at Oneonta
Visit the Hem Street Memorial County Park, in the West End/ SUNY College at Oneonta neighborhood of the city of Oneonta, 9 miles north of Otego, with your fur-ever friend. This park covers a scenic 7 acres of open area for you to enjoy together. It is an adventurer’s delight as part of the park is undeveloped, making it a perfect location to carve your own path. Walk with your pup on leash here, or just relax on an outstretched blanket. This is a mixed area of grassy and forested areas. Be sure to pack plenty of water to share.

Oneonta
Head to Neahwa Park, in the Oneonta neighborhood, of the city of Oneonta, 9 miles north of Otego, for 65 acres of outdoor, pup-friendly recreation. There are sports fields, a winter ice skating pond and plenty of room to roam with Fido on leash. Or try Wilbur Park which also is the place to be if you are an avid fisherman! Then hop on the scenic 6-mile Oneonta Susquehanna Greenway, running along the river, which caters to walkers and bicyclists. Restrooms and fountains are located at both parks. Afterwards, try a doggie cone at pup-friendly Golden Guernsey Ice Cream parlor!

Linden Avenue
In the Linden Avenue neighborhood, of the city of Oneonta, 9 miles north of Otego, take your pup to Huntington Park for a quiet day of relaxation together. There are 5 acres of landscaped grounds that are pup-friendly, just waiting for you to enjoy. Jump on the paved walking paths throughout for an easy stroll. These walkways are perfect for all pup-abilities, but require Fifi to be on a leash. If you get tired or want to take in the scenery, relax on the benches provided, or share a picnic lunch with your fur-ever friend in the designated picnic areas.12

East Oneonta
Check out Fortin Park, in the East Oneonta neighborhood, of the city of Oneonta, 9 miles north of Otego. This area’s largest park features a whopping 95 acres of outdoor pup-tastic recreation. There is a playground for the kiddies,and lots of sports fields for the sports enthusiast. You can find prime fishing spots here along the Susquehanna River and Charlotte Creek. For summer fun, hike on their multiple trails or use cross-country skis in the wintertime. Either way, your pup will have a terrific time. Restroom facilities and water fountains are provided here. Just bring your leash and mutt mitts!
Unadilla
In the small town of Unadilla, 11 miles southwest of Otego, you and your fur-ever friend will enjoy a relaxing day at the Martin Brook Park. This is a prime location for picnickers with the pavilion shaded for your eating pleasure. You will find this pup-friendly park offers many hiking trails to enjoy a leisurely stroll. All the trails are rated as easy, so this is the perfect place to take your elderly pup. Be sure to pack plenty of water to share and some packable snacks. Keep Fido on leash here and clean up after them.
