Olean has never been a large city, but its importance on the heels of the Revolutionary War, and it's place as the first location where petrolum was discovered in North America, lead to a colorful history. Today, Olean is a popular stopover location bridging Pennsylvania and New York travel. Stop overnight or longer, and let Olean be the oasis respite in the middle of your journey. There are three veterinary clinics, so it's the perfect spot for a tune up for your pup.

Relax the afternoon or evening away at Four Mile Brewing Company, where house-crafted beers are served to a dog-friendly outdoor patio, and they sell their own dog treats as well!

The Rock City Park is a unique park and hiking area in Olean. Don't miss out on this fantastic park! Rock formations create an interesting landscape and some challenging hikes. Dogs are welcome to join you as long as they're leashed. Bring your own water, as the trails can take you away from the souvenier and snack shop at the front of the park.
