St Bonaventure

Gargoyle Park in the St Bonaventure neighborhood of Olean, near St Bonaventure University, is a fantastic park to explore with your dog. Its convenient location means it's often busy, and populated with children, joggers, and other dog walkers! Your leashed dog just might make a new friend. The park is also popular because its paved walking paths run directly alongside the river. This is a great feature that ensures that walks here never become boring. Hungry? Old Town Olean

Franchot Park is an urban development space that puts a modern twist on a classic Olean neighborhood. This park has been redesigned to offer the most fun possible. While your dog can't access the playground and wading pool that make Franchot a hit with children, there's still more than enough to do! Hit the trails for an easy stroll or a challenging workout. Some of the park's paths offer a great view of the Allegheny River. Franchot Park's large pavillion is also sought after as a centerpiece for selfies and a location for parties both public and private! There's always something happening in Old Town Olean!

Downtown

Oak Hill Park is a convenient, moderately sized park in Downtown Olean. There are basketball courts and a small playground, but the park is far from the most modern in the area. It's a great place to go for a walk and take in the history of the area. Many buildings visible from the park are older, and the historic structure has been preserved. If you've worked up an appetite, head to Beef 'n' Barrel! This restaurant has half a dozen dog-friendly tables! They serve a variety of hearty classics, from BBQ ribs to seafood classics, hot apps, and sandwiches that make a great meal!

East Spring

War Veterans Park is a great place for local Olean culture. It's also a great place to hit later in the evening; the park is open until 10 pm, making it a great place to explore with your dog after work or after dinner. The park has a memorial wall to honor those who have served the country. There is also an expansion going in to add a pool and rec center; while dogs can't partake in those activities, they make War Veterans Park a great destination for a large group. You and your dog can walk laps around the sports fields or relax on the grass instead.

South Olean

South Olean is home to a great park and two fantastic restaurants. Forness Park has a baseball diamond and a playground. Dogs are welcome to explore the park with you as long as they stay on leash. Looking for another great doggy destination? The Point is a casual Italian-style eatery that serves an emphasis on seafood. They have dog-friendly outdoor tables so your best friend can join you. With an emphasis on fresh ingredients, there's something for everyone! You can also dine at Hammer Back Bar and Grill if you're looking for a slightly more boisterous atmosphere.
