Portland Rd/ Springbrook Rd
If your pup is begging for some play time, head over to the Portland Road and Springbrook Road neighborhood and pay a visit to the Newberg Dog Park. Your furry BFF can run around to her heart’s content. The two acre park has separate areas for large and small dogs, so little pups can frolic around stress free. Your pooch will love climbing and conquering the large oak logs scattered throughout the park. For a nice on leash walk, pop over to the nearby Ewing Young Park. A mile and a half trail passes through the woods and follows the Chehalem Creek. It’s a perfect spot for spending some time with your pal.

College St/ Bell Rd
The College Street and Bell Road neighborhood is home to Jaquith Park that your four legged friend will love to strut his stuff around. The tree lined walking path is a puptastic spot for him to spot squirrels and sniff out new smells. The park also has horseshoe pits, basketball and tennis courts, and a playground, so there is plenty of fun for the whole family. Keep in mind, pets are not allowed in the nearby ballfield complex. A trip to this park will make your pooch one happy hound! Stay in the nearby Allison Inn and Spa, a pet friendly hotel that sits amidst a vineyard, gardens, and pathways. Try out the wine inspired cuisine, and cuddle with your pup through the night for a fee.

Springbrook
Got an active dog that needs to burn some energy? Head over to Springbrook and choose one of the puptastic trails. Schaad Park Loop Trail winds up a steep hill to a scenic view of the surrounding area. The Gettman Loop clocks in at 1.6 miles, with part of it running alongside the south portion of Chehalem Golf Course. Let your pup’s nose be the guide as you stroll down the creek side trail among the fir trees. The Chehalem Gleen Loop stretches 2.2 miles and is at the north end of the golf course. No matter what trail you choose, your furry BFF will have a tail waggin’ time!
