Book nowHello! I've been with Wag! for over two years now but I've been walking my own dogs for nearly two decades. I adore all dogs, but small pups -- like my Beagle, Clover, and my Tibetan Terrier, Penny -- are my favorite. I look forward to walking your dog soon!

Thank you for a wonderful walk with Zoe today including climbing the giant hill and interacting with so many people. It did not take her long to find her way back to the couch and start snoring. I expect she will be there for quite a while. See you tomorrow!

Best Dog Friendly Neighborhoods in Newberg
Portland Rd/ Springbrook Rd
Portland Rd/ Springbrook Rd
If your pup is begging for some play time, head over to the Portland Road and Springbrook Road neighborhood and pay a visit to the Newberg Dog Park. Your furry BFF can run around to her heart’s content. The two acre park has separate areas for large and small dogs, so little pups can frolic around stress free. Your pooch will love climbing and conquering the large oak logs scattered throughout the park. For a nice on leash walk, pop over to the nearby Ewing Young Park. A mile and a half trail passes through the woods and follows the Chehalem Creek. It’s a perfect spot for spending some time with your pal.
College St/ Bell Rd
College St/ Bell Rd
The College Street and Bell Road neighborhood is home to Jaquith Park that your four legged friend will love to strut his stuff around. The tree lined walking path is a puptastic spot for him to spot squirrels and sniff out new smells. The park also has horseshoe pits, basketball and tennis courts, and a playground, so there is plenty of fun for the whole family. Keep in mind, pets are not allowed in the nearby ballfield complex. A trip to this park will make your pooch one happy hound! Stay in the nearby Allison Inn and Spa, a pet friendly hotel that sits amidst a vineyard, gardens, and pathways. Try out the wine inspired cuisine, and cuddle with your pup through the night for a fee.
Springbrook
Springbrook
Got an active dog that needs to burn some energy? Head over to Springbrook and choose one of the puptastic trails. Schaad Park Loop Trail winds up a steep hill to a scenic view of the surrounding area. The Gettman Loop clocks in at 1.6 miles, with part of it running alongside the south portion of Chehalem Golf Course. Let your pup’s nose be the guide as you stroll down the creek side trail among the fir trees. The Chehalem Gleen Loop stretches 2.2 miles and is at the north end of the golf course. No matter what trail you choose, your furry BFF will have a tail waggin’ time!
City Center
City Center
People and pets just passing through Newberg have some pawsome options for places to stay in the City Center. Best Western Newberg and Holiday Inn Express are both pet friendly hotels. Travelodge also welcomes four legged guests. Check in to one of these fine establishments and let your pup get some much needed shut eye. If your pup needs some exercise before turning in for the night, stroll around the City Center Streets or around the campus of George Fox University. Your pooch can meet the locals while moving and grooving his four legs. He’ll appreciate the chance to see the city while being at your side.
Champoeg
Champoeg
If you’re in the mood for a pawsome adventure, pack up your pooch and head over to the ghost town of Champoeg, now located in the town of St. Paul, and just seven minutes south of Newberg. Not only can you visit the ghostly remains of the historic saloons, but you can also access the museum, trails, and Champoeg State Park. This outdoor paradise will make your pup’s tail wag. Commune with nature as you wander through the forest, fields and wetlands. The Champoeg State Heritage Area Loop clocks in at 8.6 miles, so if you go the entire trail, bring some water for your four legged friend. There are also pet friendly campsites, rustic cabins and yurts, so bring a sleeping bag and stay awhile. You’ll have one happy furry camper!
