Traveling on Interstate 25 can be a long ride for your excited pup, so plan to stop off at HAT Six Travel Center on Exit 182 near Nugget in Evansville. The space is open and grassy, but you will need to bring your own water bottles and doggie waste bags. If you also need a pup-friendly place to stay the night, stop by Sleep Inn & Suites where dogs can stay in pet-friendly rooms for free.

A fun destination if you are traveling through Wyoming, or just looking for an adventure close to home, is the River’s Edge Super Sites RV and Cabins Resort. This huge park offers both RV sites, tent areas, and furnished cabins. You can spend time with your pup in your RV or tent, but the cabins are not pooch-friendly. There is a great walking path around the lake for your pup, and you can relax at a picnic table or on the lawn swing. Your pooch will need to stay on a leash, and make sure to clean up after him.
